Great feedback from you recently. BIG thank you! It's great knowing that you're enjoying our games.
Please, this is unusual and I'd like to know if you have done something similar? How would you have run it different, innit?
Game 1 of Timewars. Everything got diced for, starting positions, moves, transport devices.
For starters these 2 Dalek factions both have the only logical choice is to assault each other. So- who is the attacker? Drum rolls, build up tension, clench buttocks and smile while opening envelope then hold, hold, pause--.
First up in the Times wars series is 2nd Empire Away Team assault Imperial Daleks base defence.
Imperial Daleks Base Defence 203. Force Commander, Drone Ogron Officer & 2 Troopers.
2nd Empire Away Team. Blacktop sub-commander, Drone & Green Drones.
The scenery. You may remember this set from our Moon campaign. I thought I'd ditched it but I found it a bit dusty.
I diced for initial location of my forces.
Move out and shoot. For some reason all the close-in shooting were misses or out-of ammo results.
Get 'em in, get 'em out!
Advance! Ignore your flank-.
Relentless advance works.
Revenge.
Moving up, corpses for cover.
Last rebel turns up.
Turn up and long range shoot does the job.
Ouch.
A shot around the corner takes the arrival by surprise.
But if you expose yourself-.
The Ogron leader sensibly swaps sides.
So now the 2nd Empire controls the control room. And they've gained an Ogron. They have their control room crew in reserve.
Game 2 Counter attack by the Imperial Daleks (away team Blacktop sub-commander, 2 Drones, 2 green Drones) on the remnants of the 2nd Empire away team backed by their base defense force: Black Dalek, Drone, 2 Green Drones
Splitter! I bet he's got this itch running down his back--.
The survivors guard the entrances, leaving the Ogron to watch the transmat's controls.
Intrusion! The rebel takes a lot of damage but is still standing!
But he can only take so much.
Imperials Advance!
They've learnt to shoot.
Feeling a bit exposed-.
Rebel advance and destroy!
Dalek shoot-out in a crowded control room. You could make a movie out of that!
The Ogron pays for his treachery!
This looks personal-.
Flanking-.
At last someone gets hit at point blank.
Lots of shooting, no damage!
The last reserve Dalek arrives.
Then an Imperial.
One wing of the Imperial assault has collapsed.
The Imperial wedge is difficult to assault, having a secure flank.
With only 2 rebels left, it's time for a tactical retreat.
The Black Dalek is up, but not good.
