Rogue Stars lets you have a hero. But I've never seen one used- so, in the spirit of adventure here is one complete with young lady.
The
story so far-. I'm not planning this, just letting the plot threads
develop as they may. I've already lost characters that I thought
would be a bit more, well, influential.
Opening
chapter. The Nazis search leads them to the sacred site of the Dirka
Dirka's. After a series of setbacks they have finally succeeded in
capturing it. Tents erected, diggers put to work silhouetted against
the setting sun.
Meanstwhile
the Americans are in search of more portable stuff meets mummies.
Now the survivors run into the British expedition, a thinly disguised
Torchwood Calcutta.
You
could see this plot twist as a frantic ploy to distract you as I
purchase and paint new stuff. This is of course a wosname rumor.
Read
on, oh brave reader!
Majority of figures are Rebel and Splintered Light. I think the Colonel is Old Glory and the couple are Croms Anvil.
The plot is a variant of Mission 1 Steal Valuables. The markers represent tomb openings, engravings etc. The one by thecamelsI'm presuming is portable treasure or some such interesting artefact.

* Caruthers
is a chap that has “got on”. Scholarship boy to a good school,
then university got him into the Foreign Office as a clerk. He joined
the Territorials where he excelled in manly sports, becoming the
regimental boxing champion. A posting overseas and he gets the bug
and goes native, becoming a free lance consulting troubleshooter.
One one of his more sensitive jobs he rescues The Hon. Cynthia
Homeria Baggshott Smalls from a local leader who, despite his
impeccable Oxbridge education had kidnapped her in order to get his
hands on her huge tracts of land, the oriental swine!
**The
Hon. Cynthia Homeria Baggshott Smalls had the good sense to be at a
Swiss finishing school during the recent troubles in the home
counties and used that incident to dash home and become the useful right sort
of young lady, grabbing every opportunity and shamelessly using her
family connections to try new things. She was visiting her Uncle, the
Ambassador to --------- at the time of her kidnap. They are said to
have undergone a form of marriage ceremony performed by an eccentric
Australian hermit in the Wonga district also known as 23
Railway Cuttings, East Cheam.
The Game. Tony took not-Torchwood-honest, and got the initiative. He crept on slowly.
I struck lucky, gaining the initiative, one marker that I got off a bit sharpish.
The scorpions seemed to have a liking for the Hon. Lady Cyn.
And each other.
Not so lucky with the next one.
Looking for the next it's easy to miss the scorpion stealthily sneaking up on you.
Still chasing-.
He's dead! Damn thing ran up him then stung in in the head!
Over the rocks, sneaking--.
Bang!
Still after her-.
Miss G proves the proper archaeologist, finding one, skipping up the rocks (with daring flashes of her ankles!) to find another, all in one activation.
Now miss G as well.
At last hubby comes to help, takes him several goes--.
Yep, poor thing got 5 pins!
You'l notice no-one is getting anywhere quick.
"So you're just going off and leaving me? Typical!"
His turn.
They do like the ladies-
Last one, for now.
Behind you! but she gets it. Well, she's had the practice.
it's sneaking--.
Oh no! It's there, leaps and kills!
Now she shoots it-.
In with the shovel.
The last American is taken out by a very long head shot by the Colonel (they couldn't hit--) so the remaining workers from Ptaclusp Associates, Necropolitan Builders to the Dynasties. do a runner. They now have 2 camels and an artefact!
Go on, you say it-.
Once again-
Ouch!
Down!
Now up and shooting!
"Allow me" Bang.
Bang.
A worker is taken by a scorpion.
Perhaps they should march to the sound of the guns?
The Colonel lets the workers go (not knowing) and kills the scorpion, summons first aid.
So that's it. all the Americans are dead! Not Tourchwood is in possession of the Valley of the Scorpion King. But who else could possibly want it?
This is a rubber bought at the British Museum. Black coat then grey.
Cool batrep again. I definetly need some of those scorpions!
