Of Gods And Mortals Sacred City Set vs Isis.

Time, it is fleeting, and I'm trying not to lose control. The Sacred City scenario is ideal for using my new scenery.

All the legends & mortals are from Splintered Light's superb Egyptian ranges. Gods are from Gods of Aegyptus range - I hadn't noticed that Set's arm was missing until too late!
I have a pile of stuff to add - mostly mercenaries and legends.

There seems to be some confusion on the Set hounds & beasts. The latter is larger than the former and the tails are different. We can them mum, dad & the pups.

Game 1 For the Sacred City you need 2 roads wide enough for a 4 wide infantry group.

The set-up. I think Tony has been watching Matt Hay's style. He took Set and formed an "L" shaped deployment including putting Set way up front!

Here he comes!

Those 3 mummies stick like glue! Everything else bounces off.

General goes down to the archers!

Now the doggies come to play.

He's BEHIND you!

Overview, reminds me of those 50's films.

Ouch, the puppies get smacked. Red dice showed they were praying there little tails off.

One dog bounces, but the archers take damage.

The Hatched press forward, down to 2 the mummies hang on.

Lots of targets of opportunity, confidence is high.

Beaten back. Note this scenario gives you extra dice with regards to casualties, so we use roofs as a rough & ready tally.

Even archers can repel a god--

Just break through! Still those mummies!

Going back in - look, they're only archers!

Still not free of the mummies! Now to get stuck in!

Bit of a forlorn wosname, but if it distracts the god for a bit--

Doesn't take the bait, so simply ties up the archers instead.

Meanstwhile the dogs do damage.

Pushed the archers back - um, result! Hide---.

Ooh crap. Not a rollover, just 2 for the big guy---.

Which he uses to clobber me bugs!

Dead dog!

Stay in cover!

Dead! A very long shot pays off!

So I lose -

Grabbed by the puppies!

Now the good news - I have 1 "4" mortal left. Bad news, they're right on the edge!

Worth a go!

"Leave it!"

Back!

Nooooo!

Still there!

A long shot - one gone so it's all over - at the end of the day it's all about getting the other god in the neck.

Game 2 Swapsies but upon another day.

Now that's close!

Smack the dog!

- then hide!

Rumble!

Payback is a bolt!

In, not on!

Dog leaps in! Bounce-.

Mummies sneak!

Same with the puppies!

And then the archers!

A spot of god bothering!

Meanstwhile on the other flank---- advance by shoot & move.

A clash-

And then!

Clash of titans!  This wrecks the nearby building - simplest thing to use the roof sections to denote the rubble field - bit of smoke helps, even if no chariots involved.

White = awed.  Doggies dash in.

Dogs dash to cause harm - leaving the way clear for me bugs!

Hows that for a view!

This time it's a 6:1 and Set's dead!

Dead don't care!

That's taken the heat of my awed!

And he's back and leaps into action!

Ouch!

Knocked down is +3.  Savaged!

Isis's bloods up, she's in!

Initiative swap from a god-.

Well that worked--

Deja vue, cock old van sort of thing--.

"Follow me lads!  Lads!?"

Hah!

Oooooh crap-

Quick!  Charge!

Down to 4!

Hanging on!

And then like a stitched kipper it's all over!

Well that was fun!  We shall use this again.  Hope you enjoyed!
