Torchwood vs Nazi Werewolves and the Vortex of Doom!

Where there is danger, there is the Gurkha.
Where there is valour, there is the Gurkha.
Where there is loyalty, there is the Gurkha.

I've mentioned my hand - at time of writing cold and damp, so scenery making weather.

OK, they need a lighter grey dry brush, I mixed wet and they dried darker.  I made some after painting, not unusual for some stuff to be wet-.

I had this idea of using the matrix you get with lasercut scenery to make gardens and back yards.

Here's one I deliberately didn't paint.  Honest.  There's a full blog post in the offing so I'm not going to go into it.  Patience!

This is a game I wanted to do.  I hadn't considered an underground setting although I have thought about it as in certain films-.

This is an excellent plot, I'd recommend copying.  I've used vortex's before where they simply make a no-go area.  But having the objective close, so is the action.  Each side has a specialist who needs to be protected and encouraged.  I've adapted this a bit:

Hacking Mission. Tn15 task. Dense Terrain LOS 6” .

Vortex. a roll of 1 or 2 on activation or reaction causes a 3” immediate move towards it.  A terrain roll failure the character falls.
Dropped or loose objects move 2”, a body 1"  towards it on turn over.  .
Ranged attack LOS within 2” misses.
In contact/pulled in - character obliterated.

Consulting Investigators and Associates (Torchwood Calcutta group 2 in disguise.) Star Cops.
Professor, Colonel & 4 Gurkhas 216

Local priest “volunteer”. Medic2, Tech1, Stealth1. 13

Grey Artificial, Claws, Extra legs, Leader, Reactive, Steadfast, Tough2 45

1 Spot Artificial, Claws, Extra legs, Fast Reactive, Steadfast, Tough 40
2 Lassie Artificial, Claws, Extra legs, Fast Reactive, Steadfast, Tough 40

3 Donner Artificial, Claws, Extra legs, Fast Reactive, Steadfast, Tough 40
4 Pointer Artificial, Claws, Extra legs, Fast Reactive, Steadfast, Tough 40

The Game.  Imagine, if you will, an underground chamber lit by erratic flashes from the unseen spinning whorl.  Everything is being pulled erratically.  The external wall is complete and goes all the way up.

I took Torchwood and won the initiative by one, hurrah.  I moved into the area in a good clump.  Tony used reactions to slink into corners.  This payed dividends.

More bits made from my Blotz bag o bits.  There's nearly 3 squidsworth of no-more-nails & waste blotz bitz here!  Even the creepy statue is an Alternative Armies freebee.  The lovely vortex (and its 3 mates underneath)  are alo Blotz, some strange bigger scale I hadn't heard of before.

The professor cautiously approaches the statue, codex in hand, protected by 2 Gurkha.

The Colonel gets careless and gets sucked into the vortex!

Donner (taking initiative after death) runs in, slash (causing pins) and runs.  A couple of shots returned, but the vortex causes them to miss.

Donner gets sucked back, but stays up and pulls away.

Pursuit! They went that way!

Getting ready to mumble.

Sneaking up on a chap, grabbing his spine and pulling--.  Lassies First Kill from the film of the same name.

See Spot sucked! Frantically dinning the claws in then getting out-.

And again! Close!

Leaps on the Prof, knocks him down- trying to get him in the vortex?

Pointer joins in, knocks down and multiple pins.

a Gurkha nearly succumbs!

"Hold on Professor!"

Initiative change, bodies dragged.

Which allows the survivor to get up, rifle up, bayonet levelled.

He probably has that sinking feeling when surrounded by snarling wolves-.

The Prof is up and safe from his attacker.

Taking a risk--.

Where did they go?

Lassie Does Number Two.  A heart warming story of head loss.

Number 3, another head off!

The final Gurkha is sucked into the vortex!

Nooooo! (Says Tony) Lassie, covered in blood and gore also succumbs!

There is a growl of annoyance from behind the Prof and he runs, stumbles and is sucked in as well!  That's it, me whole party has been wiped out! I get me coat!

Corpses do obscene floppy, spurty rolls towards the vortex.

The Priest is - encouraged - towards the statue.  The werewolf hanging on to it gestating in friendly assurance.  But in his brick dropping fear----.

Annoyed, Grey summons his remaining children and leave this accursed place.

Wow, what a game!  Please, try this combination!  But you must let me know, here or on the facebook page!
