Tony wanted to shoot something.
Fairysnuff. Busy week, as my
Saturday taken up with the event I've just posted about. So –
needed something fairly quick and easy. Both of these teams have,
pre modification, been used before. I'd bought the excellent Blotz building, fencing, sheds and graveyard (I'm not sure if I bought the 15mm or
20mm packs, I think the latter) beefed up with Alternative Armies
graveyard bits and skeletons. The church is from |The Works, an
xmass decoration. Need to finish the base. Vicarage is a nice
ceramic model.
Never
have their been such a varied range on one field!

The Game. Tony took Torchwood and were the ambushed, so set up in the centre.
My set up was at least 1 figure per edge.
Once set, the rats are deployed, 2 each, no closer than 5" to any other figure.
It took more than one man to name her Shanghai Lill.

Rats!
First turnover came quick. We rolled for rat direction/target. First rats move on Lurch, leaps and rips his throat out!
Shooter Boy is the next target.
The two other go at each other, but every attack misses, so not that vicious.
The Shootist responds to the noise.
Another quick turnover! Now they move onto Old Uncle, tearing his guts out!
The Shootist blasts away, double hail of fire at point blank, gives one set of rats a couple of pins-.
Mem Saab smiles, takes aim, one shot blows the rearmost away. (1)
Soldier Girl uses the distraction to sneak up close-.
The Colonel investigates the noise, shoots the rats. The enemy of my enemy is my enemy.
The shootist takes a bit more care-.
Soldier Girl takes a shot at Mem Saab. Misses, bad move.
Blam. No.2.
Mr Cool uses his mojo to destroy one of The Shooter's guns.
Shooter boy dashes to the pile of stinking corpses, fails to spot the Colonel and dashes back.
The Colonel goes "WTF"? Puzzled, he withdraws.
The Shooter rurs away, to no avail and his second weapon explodes in a mysterious way.
Elvira moves up on the party.
Aaaaaaaah- the leader. Mind control!
Running away through the mysterious crop circle.
Taken by surprise, the possesed leader clobbers Miss G, who loses her hat and gets her hair dishevelled! ( Superficial damage, it was either that or a ripped bodice. 2 ladies fighting, cloths ripped off- for shame!)
Shocked, the rest of the party starts to gather.
Still running.
Elvira must stay in LOS.
Mem Saab suffers an attempt to disarm from Mr Cool. She's not 'aving any of That, thank you! She spots him and blows him away. (3)
More rats arrive. We diced for edge and position on that edge.
All the remaining players are coming together.
The Shootist gets involved trying to restrain the leader.
Rats attack Mem Saab, get stared down (missed).
They missed, she didn't. (4)
Moving closer, hiding behind gravestones as is traditional. Those rats don't arf leave a mess. Hang on, nearly there!
The Colonel spots movement--.
The Shootist is having a bad day. Particularly his extremeties. His hands hurt from exploding weapons. Now his genitalia hurt from the application of pointed shoes. He goes down going "ouch".
An exchange of fire! Elvira gets her arm blown off by the Colonel! Who is shot in turn by Shooter Boy.
Rats attack the wounded Elvira! Poor attack only gives a pin.
Mem Saab shoots Shooter boy, but he's in cover, takes a pin and loses his weapon!
The leader recovers, going "I am so sorry!" The Shootist has had enough and goes on to invent frozen peas and the first steam driven truss.
Elvira dashes away as Shooter Boy attacks the rats.
Stomped!
He really should pay attention.
Elvira gets away, mostly armless, but Shooter Boy becomes No.5.
The end sheets Yellow- pins Red - stress.
Note, all Miss G's came from her own leader!
That is a superb combination that I'd recommend. Not for the beginner, but a good club game.
