Just Don't Move----- History lesson

So - found this.  I'm not sure how this survived our move from Dorchester-.

Pre word processor - home computer.  Way, way before the internetywebbything.  I'm guessing early 80's.  Figures would have been Airfix on thick card.  Hand written, paper strengtheners and treasury tags.

I'm sure we used 6th edition WRG.  David Thomas (moved to China with his dad, hate to think--) took the Romans.  Armenians were the worst possible allies.

Paul (Weasele) Jackson, who just up and disappeared after we moved, had the Gauls.  His ally was Micci of the Gissafag was based on an reenactor who we're pretty sure drunk himself to death.

You'll note that the Gauls had the full map, the Romans knew the area around the road, but had to scout the rest.  The travel times between each map expanded the options.  Each map was a table.  Led to some interesting encounters, such as when the Gaul army turned up and "persuaded"  them to change sides.

And, doesn't seem that long ago, Feb 2002.  So we're just at the end of paper catalogues and sending cheques.  Then it was sending the order written and half of the card details in one e mail and the rest in no.2 with your address & phone number.
