Game 1

THE Baron,  2 Minkies & 5 Guards vs Beastmen leader, tree & 5 warriors.



My leader, first roll--

Airmobile--.

"It's coming through the trees!"



Hearding cats.  I cannot see these being too disciplined.  "Over there!"  Yes, I know these and their buddies will look excellent when finished.  Shaddap.


Chuff chuff chuff.



Ambush!  Tony used these very well, like light cavalry.  This minkie swoops on the stray beastie but gets knocked down.  Free disengage is a charm!

Tailslap.  I gave all the flying same (although it never got used) as wings work in similar ways.  Just ask anyone who's got too close to a goose or swan.



That action weakens the charge!


"I'll just womble over then".  All bar leader & axe are from the same Irregulars code.  Rest & tree RPE.


The fight fragments and the stronger beasts start to win.


Bit hard to see - sorry.  My leader knocks down a guard then the evil Barony joins in.  He gets pushed back BUT inflicts poison - my leader (biggest bruiser in the bunch) goes from Q4 to Q5.  Annoyance in others but in a leader--.


Round 2, he's knocked down - AND reduced to Q6---


The second minkie ambushes the other beastman, knocking him down.  (Trust me, it's male)



A beastly stand-off.


Crom!  There ARE 6's!


The minkie is smitten.


The tree comes!  contacts 3 and would get shoved back.


The Baron goes in - to be smitten.  But the evil Baron does with the poison.  He's now G7 and dead.  With the Baron gone his beasts depart.  With their leader gone they go to form an anarchic commune.  Our first draw!


Game 2 

Gorgon, Gorgon2,  Harpy, archer, 6 warriors vs Leader & Necromancer, 4 better, 8 warriors & 4 archers.














Good mix of Alternative Armies and RPE.  More Battle Valor below.

Tony gets to the objective fast.



My turn!  My spear rush to the objective closely followed by my no.2 Gorgon.  Trouble is, leader is now way back.



Now Tony's heavies go in.


Knock downs and push backs.


Gorgon joins in, one dead each.



Forestalling a charge, the Gorgon attacks the leader or reaction.


The Necromancer raises its hands and screams obscene words of power.  First batch of warriors go screaming into the Gorgon! 4 attacking that's -4 as the leader's still there! She's knocked down.



More words - only 2 this time and the Necromancer strolls forward.  The leader kills my Gorgon using a reaction.



The heavies suffer lack of numbers. Another one down and my leaders there.


Archers shift.  Heavies now surrounded.


Well it's sort of a line.


Strategic retreat.


The archers, well crossbows, target my Gorgon.  They roll 2 and are 3's.  She rolls 1 but it's -3 for multiple shooters 5 v 1!  The light go out of my skellies eyes.  The (living) harpy hoofs it.





Game 3

Baron, Godzillasaurus & 4 Minkies vs Beastmen leader, 2 archers & 5 warriors.





Main body & leader go forward.  Archers decide that this is a very, very nice spot.  1 reaction and over-.


Minkies swoop in, knock a couple down.


Aw crap.


A bit more argy bargy as Godzillasaurus sneaks up.---


Regroup!


In goes Godzillasaurus.  Other emotional support animals are available.


More bashing and biffing, this game The Baron fails to deliver poison.


Oh no!  Sneaky- my leader bashes away but he's as well armoured as a Ukrainian tractor.


One minky dead and my beastmen getting bounced around.



With one bound- Crap.  The way we treat the "free Heroic 6" is lower one gets transmuted.  So he has 1, allowing him to bounce up.



Smitten down by the beast, who then uses his breath weapon to fry him like a kipper - dead.



Running away!


Game 4

Leader & Necromancer, 4 better,  8 warriors & 4 archers vs Gorgon 176,  2 Harpies 124,  5 archers 70 10 warriors.



We didn't have much time, so it's all gung ho!



My leader and  necromancer both a bit exposed to the winged furies-.



Gorgon & minions take on the heavies.



My poor crossbow,  1 dies.




Bundle!



And that's it, cliffhanger ending.
