BNY Bakeneko vs Yamabushi.

Once you start a game, you begin to gain a library of STUFF.

Here's 2 tomozi I'd done before dusted off & ready to rumble!

I've made some new boards to go with this game.  Cake board (yep, I'm serious)  Generic no-more-nails.  4 matrixes from recently bought ply scenery.  Keep your eye on these boards.  They get soaked and rough handling, but guess what?  No warping.

* Board £1
* No more nails 50p
Railway flock  25p
Ground cover from Geek Games 50p
* PVA 10p
* Extra firm hold hair spray as fixer. 25p
Total £2.60.

* From Poundland (UK).

You've seen both of these recently, so I've cut some of the bumpth.

The Game.  I thought this would be a "swapsies" game.  As usual, no plan survives contact.  Tony took the baddies.  Big pussy gets 1 action and 2 fails (1's)!  Initiative swap (do your games play like this?  No-?)  On comes Hero, runs up and bops him on the snout.

Leader gets 3, we assume that off-board forces are all in a bunch.  So he moves on, sends (group activations) 2 rushing to help the hero (2 actions, 1 reaction Tony fails) and the other monks rush to the centre.  That's me done.  Back to Tony.

Bakeneno uses Panic! Spell.  But mine are stout chaps.  The hero and support go back 1 (1 out of 3 fail) Next a group action brings the Mu-shin rushing on with 2 actions, 3 and it could have changed the game.  The hero takes the reaction from them and dashes up.

He takes his 3rd to attack the hero, pushing him back.

Gashadokuro fails, over to me.  Everyone moves up.

Now the Gashadokuro gets a reaction from my leader, moves in.

The Bakeneno bounces off my hero, then send his Mu-shin to surround and budle my monks, while the big fella contains the rest.

Ooops, slips (events card) but he's soon up before I can get him.

Lots of pushing and shoving.

At last I get a break - it could have gone either way.  One horror goes down, taking the pressure off one.

The general push back gives me a bonus.  My leader does a fireball.  No great effect, but it pushes 4 back even further.

A monk goes in.  I can shoot the horror, but to no effect.

With the pressure gone, 2 more wounds delivered!  Like the new Blotz counters?

Form a line-.

Oooh crap!

Hit them when they are down.  It's all about growing up religious.

First one dead!

"Are you shooting at me?"  Thwarted by my leader, he does a twirl and tries a different target.

But morale has not been good following the death.

Religious fool rush in- .

My monks rush in, more deaths!

That leads to a general collapse in morale, and the baddies retire. 3 dead, 2 run away, boss off the board.

But the monks suffer from morale as well.  A general disengage leaving the wounded to be redeaded to bits.

That was a hairy game.  A bit fiddly- glad we didn't start with it.  Tony remarked that the mass zombie bundle looked very cinematic.  Excellent!
