OK, this is another "what if". But this one really works.
During the last one I got to thinking that an amphibious species would view water as easy terrain and dry as difficult. Here is the result. Rather Manga, I hope you agree.
Unfortunately these ranges have now ceased production. The cops are ex Peter Pig. Love this range, which was large and varied, plus bigger figures than his normal. The officer is old style GZG. as you can see there's a good size match.
Pendraken did the fish folk. Yes, they're 10mm. Also the first 15mm figures I painted when I moved to this scale from 6mm. The males are from Khurasan.

* A net is a tangler. It could be spiked and/or sticky. On consideration the perfect weapon to bring down larger prey/competition.
Game 1. Tony took the Fishhh and won the initiative. I drop these games on him, so there is usually no prep. Tony approaches this as a role player. Treating these as evolved social crocs whose territory is being violated. The general lot is that the cops are proceeding on a patrol in hostile territory.
I' don't have waterline figures, so you must imagine that eyes, the odd bubble and splash is all you'd see until the dark shape launches from the depths.
My cops react and proceed with caution.

A bit of mutual pummelling.
Japanese stand-off as seen in the best movies. The net/tangler is back up and feeling sore. And a fish wife scorned is not to be underestimated.
A cop is netted, dragged to the water and drowned.
A cop comes in, causes damage but his prey slips back into the water. The male scarpers.
The remaining 2 cops decide to leg it as they're getting surrounded!
Excellent game. Lots of tension and drama.
Game 2. Swapsies. I had a plan. Half one way, half the other. Surround and attack with as many as possible in one go. In my defence, I had horrendous luck with the dice. No gettee actions, no removee pins, nothing gets done! I did better from reactions then actions.
So this end Tony gets the cops and the initiative.

Leap! a ding-dong battle with neither managing to get that good hit in.
A cop is tangled, dragged and drowned.
Now the officer is torn! But he leaps-.
Leaps rolls a 1! He trips and the creature is on him, holding him down in the silt.
That allows the male to dispatch the fallen. The tables are turned and once again leaderless the survivor flees!
This has been the most unusual scenario. If you use amphibians, please adapt!
