I made some errors last
time, so I've readjusted some of the skills making sure that nothing
would have effected the last game.

This
team gained 10XP after the last mission, with the dog handler doing
the bulk of the work with a little help from Deputy Fran. The squad
also have 11 unused points making a total of 210.

Fran is (sober) and no longer green costing (8).

handler gains another Marksman costing (6) and has started carrying a
shotgun (5) total cost 19 leaving a pool of 5XP.

Ruuti is the new Uuti (which gives him a “free
leadership upgrade” ) taking another level of marksman (6) and a
level of steadfast (3), as this reflects what he achieved, giving a

is no longer green (8), he's been wounded & killed in hand to
hand, and has one XP “in the bank”. So up to 34.
The
“new” Muuti, Ruuti and Suuti- one may be green.

The Plot!
For
once we diced as per the rules. We'd already picked the sides from
our pre-used groups. I had the plot that the Llhurgs had been hired
to “take out” the cops. We got11) control terrain 9) predators
lair 8) I though I had that. The Llhurgs got the initiative so this
is how it worked out. The miffed Southpaws (from the last game)
hopped to Venus then captured & dropped a Godzillasaurus on a
handy farm then called the cops. If it had been the other way round
I was thinking campsite in the woods.
I'd
gotten a nice email from Godzillasauruseses agent saying how, after
his recent series, he'd really like to work with us again and
welcomed any opportunity. So how could I resist?
The game.
The
Llhurgs turn up to find the oh-so-helpful monster smack in the middle
of the farm. (Divided and marked 2-12 with dice, got a 7 so-). Uuti
'n Tuuti slide around the buildings. Wuuti and Ruuti's job was to
run past and attract Godzillasaurus out of his lair. Xuuti did it,
but Ruuti mistimed it (a fail) and got caught out in the open,
blocking the side parties fire. He takes a wound, pin and stress but
survives. Wuuti is forced to do a called headshot, which worked but
not enough. Uuti comes rushing in and does a head shot, better,
knocks the poor beast down so he can hack at it with his sword until
dead.
Relinquished
initiative as the stress was getting a bit much-. Leaving Uuuti
stuck in the middle of the table where he gets to watch-. Xuuti
working his way through the shrubbery until he notices the dog and
dog handler doing the same, followed by Elron. There'sa recurring
theme here – dawg gets the scent and goes tearing in, but a fail,
nail biting antici-----pation, Xuuti gets the reaction, takes the
shot and – poor beast goes down in mid leap. Initiatives swaps.
Dog handler takes a shot, misses. Xuuti rises up to return, but the
handler gets a reaction and bang! One dead alien.
But
now it gets crazy. Morale and Sheriff goes and surrenders,
steps out dropping his shotgun. Then Gilbert goes and surrenders
as well! That leaves a drop jawed Fran wandering what the
Fran is going on-. Uuti is in the beasts lair, trying not to step
on bits. Wuuti runs up to secure the prisoners. Fran steps out and
puts her shotgun to his head with the standard “please stand still”
and Gilbert puts a cable tie on Wuuti. But it doesn't work and up
comes Ruuti with nasty sword. She goes down sliced across the torso.
Someone yells “medic!” and Elron comes running up and does the
medical thing. He shoots Ruuti!
Morale,
and Uuti throws a wobbly and surrenders as well! But
recovers as there's no-one to surrender to, just lots on both sides
looking profoundly dumfounded. He rallies himself and does the only
thing he can do to save face, runs and cuts down poor Gilbert.
No-one fails this time-. Elron drags Fran clear. Sheriff Shortmarsh
gets his gun out and shoots Uuti point blank.
Rules update, we rallied our leaders using their leadership- this we should not have done. So, the 2 leaders should have gone face-to-face arguing about who surrenders to who. A sort of reverse arms race--.

Yep,
morale and yep Uuuti, finding himself alone surrenders to the
dog handler. That's it. Two
captured, 3 dead, only Tuuti manages to get away. Fran gets to a
hospital and makes a full recovery. Well, she's got no belly
button-.
Aftermath.
Sheriff
Shortmarch and team
have complete control of the ground, plus 3 dead enemy makes for a
whopping 27, plus a reserve of 5 XP= 32. Deputy Elron did the best,
used medic successfully after running towards the fight and shooting
to protect patient. So loses green. 4 kevlar vests @ 6 = 24 leaving
no reserve. A new green tech deputy, Garry, is recruited.

Llhurg
Uuti Clan. Alas the
new Uuti is dead (again) so a new leader is chosen. This one loses
the old ones upgrades so reverts. Fortunately the captured warriors
get off, as the cops fail to Miranda them in their own language and a
plea of self defence. The pool of 5 is increased to 7. As no-one
did anything spectacular this is going to be kept.
