Terrain 4 Games desert city - sort of planning

Ruined buildings, roads and dune.

I've seen some criticism of Terrains 4 Games online.  Most of these were about delivery - at the end of the covid pandemic!  I think they are a very small business.  If you can do better I want to see it!

This is my list from them:

Dunes.  http://unitrecon.blogspot.com/2021/08/flying-lead-grav-vehicles-2-heavy-metal.html

Red Martian big rocks  http://unitrecon.blogspot.com/2020/02/rs-hunting-martian-tigers-in-maris.html

Roads - these were delayed, so I got fully painted for the price of unpainted!  http://unitrecon.blogspot.com/2021/08/flying-lead-grav-vehicles-and-power.html

European hills  http://unitrecon.blogspot.com/2022/02/song-of-blades-and-heroes-getting.html

Ruins  http://unitrecon.blogspot.com/2022/05/rogue-stars-flying-lead-phoney-or-proxy.html

Now - Desert Town.  Boy, this is a huge set - the tabs are big, but you need to dry fit them.  BUT! There is a superb PDF for you to follow.

NOTE!  The differences in sides & internal frame is SO subtle!  Dry assemble EACH & if the last bit doesn't fit like a dream, start again.  Only takes a minute or so to get right and it's worth it.

Once done, I put a very thin hard as nails coat on for texture.

I've seen comments on warping, sealing and going mouldy.  I've never had any trouble as I make sure everything is bone dry, at least overnight, before proceeding.

Next I use a watered down tester paint for the bulk and added a little hobby paint for the floors.  If these weren't as solid construction I'd add some PVA.

Now I've flipped the roofs and added the trap doors.  Plus dry brush white after cleaning out doors & windows with scissors.  Works better than a thin blade.

Now to use!  I prefer to add more period specific items lose.
