My trouble is I have a mercurial mind. Many, many wonderful ideas compete for attention. Back in the Happy Time when the world was younger, more prosperous and postal charges were affordable I got lots from Battle Valor. Rohan to balance out the orcs. Then came Museum Miniatures range - lots of infantry!
Then life, my illness and Beachhead got in the way. Weeks later and we're finally here!
I'd planned a trial, but that went out the window-.

Double 50 point force (that I can do) Eorl 11p. 5 Riders 35p Young riders 4p.
Local Lord. Up to 8 Riders. 1 Young rider 1 Infantry.
To rationalise that into a 24 point force: 3 Riders 21p. 1 young riders or spear unit
Dunland
Local chieftain 24p. Light Cav, 5p. Tribal vet 5p. 4 Call out Spear 12p. Skirmisher or 2 levy 2p.
OR Light Cav, 5p. Tribal vet 5p. 3 Spear 9p, mix 5p.
Larger armies are a multiple chieftain mix.
The Game wot we did:
Rohan township of Harrisons Ford. Local defence force of 48 points, includes at least 12p riders relief force.
This force in turn 1-3 will be on the other side of ford. After that, left 1-3. Right 5-6. Odd over ford. 4, in centre over ford.
Ork attack force under command of Nogbad the Uruk (as his elite cav unit) Lead cavalry force must include Dunland light cavalry scouts, but Nogbad can be anywhere.
Follow on force of mixed tribal Ork and Dunlanders. Total is 48, mix is up to you.

Mostly Battle Valor but there's a few Museum Miniatures in there.
Rohan relief force had several dice-for entry points. Over the river then through the town was not the best. Good for the roses though!
Local infantry square up on the hill. Flanked by the Dunlanding light cavalry. Woody knolls are via temu or shein, cheap as chips, need mounting though as they're very light foam.
Look! They're coming!
Uruk's go where Uruks have never gone before, bodly uphill.The thunder of hooves, the blowing of horns and the jingling of equipment.
Orcs go in but are beaten back by the wall of spears.
Time for the cavalry to get stuck in.There's a gap and everyone's going backwards---.Warg vs horse, rider vs Uruk. The general goes down!
Crash!Orcs cling on. Klingons? Slamming the Dunlanders.
Orcs still left, but Rohan gets thin--- Talk about your Pyrrhic! Rohan just ran out. Now we carry on---
