WW1 parade of vehicles, Bovington Tank Museum to Blandford

Every year the Tank Museum at Bovington runs a parade of vehicles to the Great Dorset Steam Rally.

You don't realise the size of them until you're up close.  Plus, you can smell the coal fires about a mile away.

As for speed, this convoy took 4 hours (they estimated 2) on modern roads in holiday traffic to travel 14 miles.  So 3.5 miles per hour.  Walking speed.

I'm not one for living history, as most seem to be copies of, and to only read, the relevant Osprey book.  But these, mature gentlemen and ladies stood for 4 hours in the rain, packed in like sardines then marched into town.  Excellent job.
